The true test of a great restaurant experience is to see if it's as good the second time. Well - last night, to celebrate my birthday we dined at One Rare once again. The complete evening was superb! Pedro, our waiter, treated us like royalty.... and once again, the steaks were incomparable to any other steak house. I once again heartily recommend this terrific restaurant. Steaks that you'll always remember... and service that is most uncommon in today's world! This place is not inexpensive, to be sure. But the food alone is worth it - and the service is superb. If you're a steak lover like me - you gotta give this place a try!

This place is a must visit on a casual day, special occasions, birthdays, holidays, business meetings, or just to sit alone at the bar after a long day at work. The bartender that was here on Thursday after Christmas (her name is Buki ) was very friendly and engaging.:. She was fast and she was super authentic. All of the bartenders are great though! This is not my first time here, I have came back now a few times because of the ambiance and as well as the vibe. The owners and managers are caring and attentive , you will always see them walking around the venue. 5 stars isn't enough! I recommend you try it asap !

Nicely executed steakhouse. The food is great and the service is attentive. The only quibble is the pounding music. It's LOUD. We were three guys (of social security age) and they offered to move us to a side room without our asking. When we asked them to turn the sound down, they actually did! This almost never happens. We were at the table for almost two hours on a Saturday night (and none of us drinks) and they never pressured us to leave so they could turn our table. It's not cheap, but no decent steak house is. All in all, worth a visit.

Had a very good dinner here! It's beautiful decorated inside for the holidays. The staff were friendly and attentive. The french onion soup was delicious! Taking off one star because our entrees arrived cold (chicken parm and pasta) but overall, I would come back.

Loved my experience at this restaurant! There was a pretty long wait for our table despite having a reservation, but it was a busy Saturday night and I pushed the reservation back 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the restaurant compensated for the wait by offering a giant plate of complimentary desserts and cappuccino. Food was delicious, very generous portions of everything. Decor was classy, with a fun flower wall. It was a bit too loud for me, but again, it was a very busy Saturday night. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area again!

Everything was delicious! I would compare it to a high quality steakhouse in nyc without the trip into the city! The steak has a nice seasoned crunch and was cooked to perfection. The meat is also so smooth and tasty. They have a steak sauce they make but it honestly doesn't need anything just spoon some of the warm butter on top and you're good to go! We got the hash browns and creamed spinach for sides, both really good. Spinach was creamy and potatoes had a nice crispy crust to them. For apps we got the tuna, salad and shrimp and avocado. The tuna was phenomenal. It melted in your mouth and was the perfect amount of spicy and crunchy with the broccoli slaw. My dad isn't a big steak guy and opted for the salmon. It was delicious and cooked perfectly to order as well. Would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a quality steak and want some other quality menu items if you have some non steak people in your party! Great for a larger gathering or date night! It's a really nice ambiance inside and the staff will take care of you!

Met my sons here for there birthday . Wow this place is really nice. We ordered the porterhouse for 3. It was perfectly cooked crusty seared outside and mid rare inside. My wife ordered the salmon and she said it was amazing . We also shared oysters and clams both were top notch. Place was great . There steaks are really good Yes it's expensive but you really get what you pay for. A lot of meter parking outside. Waitstaff on top of there game too

Located right next to the Scarsdale train station (where Zacky's Wine was) this "prototypical" steakhouse actually delivers great drinks, food and service. There is a cool, snazzy bar area to grab a drink and a snack. The dining area has a ample set of tables. They may seat diners a little too close together for a steakhouse, but with soundproofing tiles, they make it work. The drinks are excellent and well made. The food is delicious extremely well prepared. The service is excellent, never having to ask for water, refresher drinks or anything. The steak (and food) preparation is the Lugers/Benjamin's tradition, so your steak is sizzling when you get it, yum! Another big plus, the menu has a lot of non-steak options, so there is flexibility for people who want other options. One Rare offers an excellent steak dining option in the conveniently located Scarsdale train station area.

Second visit to our local steakhouse. First experience was OK so I was looking forward to an upgrade on the original experience. Went there with a friend for dinner and we started at the bar with a cocktail and they moved to dinner. Great service great support, from the staff and our waiter was particularly exceptional - Domingo. We started with a salad and it was nice refreshing with a light vinaigrette dressing great way to cleanse the palate. We continued with the beet salad and it was nicely prepared - a generous dish with well cooked beets. We debated whether we were going to do a two or three person steak, ended up with a porterhouse for two which was just about right to perfection with a medium rare sear to it. Nice game dish and the red wine was a great accompaniment to accentuate the taste of the steak. We ordered full potatoes and the loading on the side as well as mushrooms and spinach which was sautéed. Great redemption for this place, what of it to do is exceptional service from Domingo. I recommend this place PS. My dinner partner was particularly bothered by a guest who throughout the evening was wearing his baseball cap and just refused to take it off. The baseball cap, tattered T-shirt and shorts seemed out of place. Bit it was the baseball cap....

This place has earned its place. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Tonight I sat at the bar. Alban took care of me and I had a wonderful experience. Tonight I tried the Grilled Chicken Parmesan. It was very good. I would highly recommend it as an alternative to the steak. The Montepulciano was very good. It would make a nice pairing with the steak but also good on its own. The main dining room is always busier than the bar. You are almost guaranteed a spot for 2 at the bar even if you don't have a reservation. The music choice is and gives off good vibes. I highly recommend this spot for dates, special occasions, or just a good time. Overall: 10/10
